Project

Located in the Stowe Park area of Newport this refurbishment contract was undertaken for Pobl group. The existing building on site was last used as a care home and required conversion into a supported living apartment complex.

Completion

The contract started in March 2016 and was handed over to Pobl in March 2017 with a contract period of just over 1 year. The building is now comprised of 13 supported living apartments and additional accommodation for a permanent member of staff.

Conservation Area

The property is located within a conservation area, so it was important that the refurbished property was in keeping with the surrounding properties. Despite challenges in the design, including a tricky upgrade to the windows, this goal was achieved.
