Project description

Formerly a Council Nursery site and depo for the parks and maintenance department; Bellevue is a residential development of 21 new properties. The project has been delivered in partnership with Melin Homes. The scheme is a mix of houses and flats with four of the properties being sold by Melin.

Overview of works

Work on site commenced in March 2017 and the site was handed over to Melin in October 2018. On completion the scheme was awarded Secured by Design certificate.

Scheme Name

The estate name Cwrt Yr Gamlas was chosen following a competition for pupils at a local school. Cwrt Yr Gamlas translates into English as Canal Court. The name was chosen because of the site’s proximity to the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal.
